Easy Yoke Pullover Pattern





This pullover pattern can be adapted to your tastes in terms of color, design, and stitches.  Be creative! 
Use leftover bits of yarn and size 4 needles & Long 7 needles.
** You can make the sleeves 32 stitches wide x 10 rows for an even better fit.**
Back: With size 4 needles, cast on 34 stitches. Make rib of k1, p1 for 5 rows.
Change to Long 7 needles and knit stockinette stitch for 12 rows.
Cast off 4 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows.
LEAVE ON NEEDLE and cut yarn.

Sleeve:  With size 4 needles, cast on 34 stitches and do same ribbing for 5 rows.
Change to Long 7 needles and knit stockinette stitch for 12 rows.
Cast off 4 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
LEAVE ON NEEDLE and cut yarn.

Front:  Knit piece the same as back.  LEAVE ON NEEDLE and cut yarn.

Sleeve:  Knit same as first sleeve.

Yoke:  With Long size 7 needle, join all 4 pieces on the other Long 7 needle in the order of Body, Sleeve, Body, Sleeve following the pattern below:
Row 1-5 knit stockinette (incorporate a design if you want.)
Row 6 Decrease (knit 3 sts, knit 2 sts together) across row.
Row 7-8 knit stockinette
Row 9 Decrease (knit 2 sts together, knit 3 sts) across row.
Row 10 Knit or purl for stockinette.
Row 11 Decrease (knit 4 sts, knit 2 sts together) across row.
54 stitches are on needle.
Neck: With size 4 needles, knit rib (k1 p1) for 6 rows.
Cast off in ribbing.
Finish:  With tapestry needle sew yoke together. Sew underarm stitches (body to sleeve.) Sew up sides of body and sleeve seams. Trim and tuck ends.
